Rules and Tariff
Pleasure Angling Rules
- Fishing tickets must be purchased before fishing, anyone caught without a ticket will either be charged double or asked to leave.
- All anglers under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- Fishing from designated platforms only
- No keepnets (except in matches)
- No Floating Baits
- Must have at least 12 inches between float and hook
- Barbless hooks only up to max size of 12
- No fixed or bolt rigs
- No braid of any sort
- No free lining
- Only free running in line method feeders permitted
- Boilies can only be used as hook bait / NO Loose feeding boilies
- No dog or cat meat
- Maximum 2kg of ground bait
- No unwanted bait to be put in lake after fishing
- Litter to be taken home and not left around fishery
- Dawn to dusk fishing only – No night fishing allowed
- No fires or barbecues
Headfen fishery reserves the right to change permitted baits if necessary in interest of fish and fishery
Match Rules
In addition to the pleasure angling rules:
- Minimum of two keepnets
- Maximum of 60lb of fish in each keepnet
- All nets to be dipped and laid out behind peg to dry. Nets must not be placed in lake straight after they have been dipped.
- Nets can be placed in lake 15 minutes before start of match
- Maximum of 6 pints of bait made up of combined pellet, maggots, caster, corn, luncheon meat and hemp.
- Maximum 1 Kilo of worms
- Bread allowed as hook bait only but not floating
